Several countries are looking at the possibility of extracting marine minerals. In Norway, the authorities, academia and industry are working together to look at the possibilities for a new industrial adventure, and have now formed the Norwegian Forum for Marine Minerals (NMM) 60 minutes have made a report on why the U.S. is missing out on the race to mine trillions of dollars worth of metals from the ocean floor.
