The EMINENT project has provided advancements in environmental mapping and monitoring, deep-sea coring, parallel operations, and solutions for production, and mineral processing. The results are built upon three research expeditions that enabled important data collection and testing of methodologies and technologies. 

The EMINENT Green Platform project aims to establish the basis for an integrated value chain for deep-sea minerals with a much smaller environmental footprint than current mining operations. Green Platform is a program supported by The Research Council of Norway, SIVA and Innovation Norway.
